New Meeting Space
Our new partner for meeting space is The Geek Group at 902 Leonard NW, Grand Rapids 49504. For Westsiders, The Geek Group building is the former YMCA facility on Leonard. Check out their videos — they are like a local version of Mythbusters! For safety, parents must always accompany children in the Geek Group labs.
GTRN Supports ACE Summer Camp Scholarships
Although we have been in hibernation recently, GTRN has remained an active supporter of the ACE summer camps at Calvin College for gifted middle school students. This year we granted over $1,000 in scholarships to students with demonstrated financial need.
Get Involved
GT Resource Network is an all volunteer group dedicated to the support of gifted children and their parents. We have meetings almost monthly at various locations with speakers on gifted issues and activities for children. Our mission is to share our collective knowledge and find kindred spirits so we can make informed decisions.
Members include families from all over West Michigan; public, private, charter, and home-school families; and others interested in gifted education. GT Resource Network is an affiliate of the Michigan Alliance for Gifted Education (MAGE). Members of MAGE are joined by their belief in the importance of improving programming for gifted and talented students in the state of Michigan.
